Present time turns into a ruin

A group exhibition at Brutus in Rotterdam.

The sundial is one of the earliest ways

of measuring time and dividing your

day into different hours.

It uses the rotation of the earth

together with light and shadow.

The use of sundials and a world

in which time moved slower have

become ruins.

Nowadays, people place them in

gardens and homes for aesthetic

purposes, and we use minutes and

seconds to keep up with the fast paste.

The sun and the sundial can act as a

visual reminder of the fragility and

preciousness of time in everyday life.
